How do you keep the children happy when you are on holiday? Happy children mean happy holidays!! If at any time you were sat around your coffee table paging through travel brochure after travel brochure or if you have worn out the keys on your keyboard whilst becoming best friends with Google looking for the ideal destination perfect for the whole family – then let us tell you – look no further!
Mauritius has got to be the Pandora’s Box of destinations! A collection of extraordinary, beautiful beaches, five star hotels with five star service and facilities, a fascinating history dating back to the early 16th century and the hustle and bustle of Port Louis the nation’s capital.
In the North, visitors can revel in island life and a good bargain is to be found in contrast to the quiet, serene scenery in the South where waterfalls, hiking trails, mountain ranges and sugar cane plantations captivate visitors with their beauty.
Mauritius is not a “hideaway destination” with hidden beaches but for families wanting hotels offering plenty to entertain their children and still be luxurious for adults.
For any family wishing to visit Mauritius, it would be very difficult to go wrong in the choice of your hotel. As a family travelling on holiday one of the most important aspects of any hotel are the services and facilities that are on offer to the younger members of your family. Happy children mean happy holidays!!
Whether you are travelling with infants, toddlers, small children or even teenagers, the hotels are well equipped to make your holiday happy and hassle free. Babysitters are available at most hotels (at an extra cost), so if at any time you want a bit of R&R, your little one’s will be well cared for and looked after.
Kid’s clubs and teenager’s clubs are also available and open till 9-10pm (depending on the hotel) and the staff will happily entertain the children with all sorts of games, arts & crafts, high energy sports, educational excursions and even cooking / baking classes. Each programme is age related and your child will be entertained appropriately.
In order to make travelling to Mauritius somewhat easier and your luggage somewhat lighter if travelling with infants, the hotels can on request supply such items as baby bottles, sterilisers, baby car seats, high-chairs, kettles in your room and some even offer a concierge service that will happily buy such items as nappies, baby lotions, powders etc. ready for your arrival which will help get your holiday off to a good start.
There is no doubt that taking the family on holiday to Mauritius and being able to relax in the knowledge that you’re little and not so little treasures will be superbly looked after should you wish for a bit of time out to indulge in the luxuries that you so deserve is nothing less than marvellous!
