By June, large parts of Asia get into the rainy season, but the intensity and frequency of showers is still relatively low, so if you can cope with the heat and humidity, June is still a good time to travel. With fewer tourists around, you might find the overall experience more rewarding.
There are however certain parts of Asia that experience excellent weather conditions in June with very pleasant temperatures and little rainfall. So, if you don’t wish to compromise, consider visiting Borneo, Indonesia, Ladakh in India or Sri Lanka’s east coast. Famed Bali Arts Festival celebrating traditional Balinese dance, music, and arts and crafts takes place in June with performances and events planned throughout the month, and Ladakh’s Hemis Festival is celebrated towards the end of June or beginning of July.
Like May, June is an excellent time to explore the stunning jungles of Borneo before the peak tourist season of July and August. Being the fruiting season, it is a particularly good time to spot orangutans in the forest and also to spot green and hawksbill turtles laying eggs on the beaches of Selingan Island.
Tibet enjoys dry and pleasant weather conditions in June, making it an excellent time of year to visit this ancient Buddhist kingdom.
