We invited Conde Nast Traveller journalist Lisa Grainger to experience the brand-new luxury lodge Lolebezi in the Lower Zambezi National Park during her safari to Zambia.
Lolebezi is the newest luxury lodge in the Lower Zambezi National Park and has a stunning one-kilometer private river frontage, affording guests exclusivity and wonderful views of the great Zambezi River. The contemporary style and sustainable design blend perfectly to create a simple, elegant atmosphere that is perfect both for romantic escapes and family safaris.
Imagine waking in the morning and peering out the floor-to-ceiling windows at the foot of your bed to see the river flowing past, just feet from your verandah. While away the afternoons watching the sun moving across the vast skies from your private plunge pool, G&T in hand.
The Lower Zambezi is famous for its high concentration of leopard and spectacular sightings of herds of elephant, as well as many other fascinating species. Zambia is well known as the home of the walking safari and the best way to explore is on foot with the experienced guides who show you the wonders of the bush.
Game drives are also available, as are canoeing safaris, excursions by boat to view wildlife from the river and stunning sunset cruises! The lodge itself is well equipped with a spa and gym, open air cinema, a pool, guests’ bar and beautiful boma, so there are plenty of opportunities for you to relax and unwind here.
Children can take nature walks around the camps with the guides, do arts and crafts and take cooking lessons with the chefs. The guides are spectacular with children and ensure everyone has a safari to remember.
As a part of your stay, you contribute to the lodge’s Foundation, which identifies communities in the regions around lodges and works with them to support their needs. Projects they run include education, healthcare, microfinancing, livestock protection and many more.
We would love to help you design your perfect safari to Zambia. Please do get in touch with one of our experts to start the conversation.
