Family fun holidays
Sirikoi is an ideal family holiday destination. The big open lawns, swimming pool and spacious rooms make it perfect for families. More than toddler-to-teen activities, they offer flexibility around meals and menus, educational and fun activities and child-care. Children thrive in discovering a new place and exploring freely around the Sirikoi grounds with the Masai and Samburu warriors - and also love a visit to the vegetable garden to see the chickens and rabbits! A Sirikoi safari is an unforgettable and life-changing experience for parents and children alike.
Where is Sirikoi located?
Surrounded by 68,000 acres of pure wilderness of the renowned World Heritage Site, Lewa Wildlife Conservancy, the location of the lodge is truly exceptional.
Sirikoi offers luxurious accommodation, excellent wildlife viewing, gourmet food, and an unsurpassed dedication to conservation and the well-being of the local people. The beauty of staying at Sirai is, well, Sirai itself and we would not blame you if you spent your entire stay in the house and its grounds. It really is an African oasis.
The wildlife on Lewa Wildlife Conservancy is abundant and includes many endangered species such as black and white rhino, and the largest resident population of Grevy’s zebra in the world. Families of elephant have carved Sirikoi into their migratory routes and almost daily they can be seen just in front of the Sirikoi dining deck for hours at a time.
Accommodation at Sirikoi
The accommodation at Sirikoi is wonderfully homey and consists of four spacious luxury tented rooms, a two-bedroom cottage, and the three-bedroom Sirikoi House offered for exclusive use. They all afford wonderful views across the shaded gardens to the thriving waterhole and will make you want to stay in and relax as the Big Five roam freely around you.
Sirikoi House is the grandest of Sirikoi’s accommodation options. The House complex includes a master-bedroom cottage, a separate bedroom cottage with two en-suite bedrooms and a central living and dining cottage that has become renowned for its unique positioning and decor. Guests at the House also have access to a private wooden deck built overlooking the wetlands, perfect for private sundowners and meals. Each room in the House is sumptuously decorated with items from around the world. Each bathroom has a shower, free-standing bath, WC and double sink. Sirikoi House is only sold on an exclusive use basis and comes with its own private safari vehicle and guide, as well as chef and team of staff.
Sirikoi Cottage has been designed with families or friends traveling together in mind. It can be taken as a completely private and separate unit or as an extension of the main lodge. The Cottage has two bedrooms, each of which has a bathroom boasting a shower, free-standing bath, WC and double sink. Inside the bedrooms, the large bed is flanked by a sitting area and fireplace. A shared central area with small kitchen links the bedrooms and leads out onto a spacious deck from which to enjoy views of the waterhole and beyond.

With beautiful views across the lawns towards the waterholes, Sirikoi’s four Luxury Tented Rooms are perfectly positioned to make the most of ‘armchair’ game viewing. Each Tented Room has an outside deck on which to enjoy morning tea or a sundowner, whilst inside the meticulously designed tent another sitting area invites relaxation. Each room is furnished with a large double bed or two single beds and a wardrobe area behind the beds. A fireplace within the tent is lit each evening to warm your room. The en-suite bathroom has both a shower, a free-standing bath (with views!), WC and a double sink.

When is the best time to visit Sirikoi?
Sirikoi enjoys a lovely spring-like climate almost all year round. Mornings are brisk, midday is rather warm, and evenings are always cool enough to appreciate a fire. The lodge is located at 5,500 ft. Mid-April to mid-May and November are usually the rainy seasons. January to March are the warmest months, and June to September is a bit cooler.
Conservation in action
From its conception, Sirikoi has nurtured a strong commitment and passion for conservation and the neighbouring communities. Lewa Wildlife Conservancy has become Kenya's leading model for wildlife conservation and low-impact community tourism. Together with the generous help of their guests, Sirikoi continues to contribute hugely towards Lewa's conservation, community, education and health projects. Guests are encouraged to explore Lewa Wildlife Conservancy’s “behind the scenes” operations to get an understanding for how conservation and anti-poaching really works, and to see all that Lewa is doing for wildlife and the surrounding communities. This includes visiting the Operations Room, tracker dogs, meeting the security or anti-poaching team, and visiting the Lewa school and clinic.
