As there are 115 islands in this remarkable Seychelles archipelago, forty one are granite islands whilst seventy four are coral atolls and islands. Mahé is the main central island with Praslin and La Digue located close by and where many luxury hotels are located.
It is to both the atolls and islands further away as well as the inner islands that draws adventurers - those looking for secluded and remote beaches, a private stretch of pristine white sand, snorkelling and diving in the clearest waters.
The tidal range is around five metres and the average temperatures around 28 degrees. The most favorable time to sail these waters is between April through October whist December through February are the wettest months.
The catamarans and yachts are available in a variety of sizes and have dedicated knowledgeable and discrete crews to navigate and look after your party - be you one couple or a family or friends sailing together.
The gourmet chef prepares your meals – we like to discuss meals and preferences with you before you sail, and the deck hand and captain steer the catamaran or yacht to coral reefs and into lovely private coves. We can also organize the catamaran or yacht to carry diving equipment and for a professional diver to be on hand and led you to noted diving sites.
The Seychelles islands feature remarkable rounded and seemingly polished boulders along the shorelines, hugged with small white powder sandy beaches. Palm trees with their distinctive coco de mer nuts line the shores – a hammock can be strung between the palms for an afternoon snooze, whilst the crew prepares your sundowner cocktails and evening meals eaten on the deck under a star filled sky.
Perhaps sail to Silhouette Island with its nature reserve and tropical and lush forests. All yachts are equipped with the best equipment and accommodations are comfortable and provide the best performance.
For those wanting to share a catamaran sailing holiday, you could join a small group on set trips lasting from just a few days to ten days cruising around 22 knots between the islands. You will be travelling with like minded people and it’s wonderful to share sailing and cruising moments with new friends.
These 60 to 80 foot catamarans have six to twelve cabins, all with private bathrooms. Dine together and during the day explore islands on foot, snorkel for brightly coloured fish – perhaps see a hawksbill turtle as they return to the Seychelles to nest, go kayaking, or partake in onshore excursions.
A sailing holiday to the Seychelles is a holiday to remember.
