Environmental and social responsibility

Kalepo is a project which will ultimately consist of two exclusive-use luxury safari camps in an area where wildlife and the community are in need of sustainable conservation. The locations have been hand-picked in the northern part of the Namunyak Conservancy in Northern Kenya.

This is a truly wild corner of Africa, completely unfenced and untamed, where wildlife and pastoralist tribes co-exist as they have done for centuries. They are funded by a group of like-minded individuals who are conservation driven and would like to facilitate the preservation of an ecosystem and the expansion of wildlife habitat consisting of several threatened wildlife species. Under the governance of the Northern Rangelands Trust (NRT) they will provide long-term income to the local community thereby improving their livelihoods and infrastructure.
