On its Caribbean coast, Mexico has some incredible beaches with beautiful white sands, excellent and safe swimming, snorkelling and diving, and some wonderful Mayan pyramids close-by, as well as offering the shortest and most direct air route into Latin America, making it ideal for those with young families.
Our family holidays to Mexico do, however, also offer so much more if you want to combine its spectacular beaches with some incredible active adventures. Staying in southern Mexico, combine these Caribbean beaches with a chance to snorkel with giant whale sharks from remote Yucatan coastal islands, swim in deserted cenotes (beautiful crystal blue water pools formed from limestone sink holes), and learn how to make traditional foods with a Mayan family.
Around the capital and Central Mexico, climb the stunning pre-Aztec pyramids at Teotihuacan, stand among a cloud of millions of monarch butterflies or go riding in the stunning highlands from a beautiful hacienda. Head perhaps to the peninsula of Baja California on the West Coast, where there are beautiful and luxurious resorts and the chance to get up-close to grey whales, and snorkel or kayak with dolphins and sealions from a private island camp whilst on your Mexico family holidays.
