Or a leading historian who will explain how this land of peaceful rice paddies evolved from a Khmer kingdom to a modern socialist republic. Or perhaps you’d like to delve deeper into Buddhist practice over tea with a Rinpoche?

Why not let us whisk you by helicopter over the jungle canopy to the Xieng Khouang plateau and the enigmatic Plain of Jars, a surreal landscape littered with fragments of megalithic pottery? Or, in the south of Laos, swim with rare Irrawaddy river dolphins in the river island archipelago of Si Phan Don? In the far north, we can arrange for you to stay in remote hill tribe communities, knitting together different villages by trail bike, 4×4 and foot. Or perhaps a combination of all three.
