Sentinel Aviation is owned by Roland Dangerfield. After 18 years as a successful British Army officer, Roland turned his considerable talent to commercial aviation. Much of his flying over the next 12 years was in the private sector until he turned his focus to the creation of Sentinel. As a pilot Roland has flown to over 200 destinations in 80 countries; passengers include royal families, politicians, diplomats, personalities from the sports, film, television and music sectors and high-net-worth individuals from industry and business.
Roland’s exceptional experience brings an unusually broad operational knowledge within the private aviation industry. Crucially for us at The Explorations Company, Roland is unique: not only is he a pilot but also an Aviation Safety and Compliance auditor as well as Aviation Human Factors instructor. Roland therefore primarily selects Sentinel’s operator partners on safety and compliance grounds with cost, whilst naturally always important, being a second-tier driving factor with professional reputation, financial stability and cost effectiveness.

There were so many wonderful moments that we had– I could be here all night writing about them.
