The landscape changes dramatically as the Quay Son River reaches the majestic Ban Gioc waterfall. With its 300 metre-wide limestone ledge, the river forms a natural border between Vietnam and China and offers a captivating sight.

Nearby you’ll discover the Nguom Ngao (Tiger) Cave system which is renowned for being the most beautiful cave in Vietnam. Head back towards Cao Bang township via the hidden valley of Tuyet Tinh Coc, a land where seemingly time stands still, filled with dense jungle, rice fields and small villages. Marvel at the sight of Nui Thung Mountain surrounded by large plains and lakes en route to Thang Hen Lake, a shimmering emerald natural wonder.
