Zambia is one of our favourite countries because it simply offers such a diversity of things to do! There is a wonderful camp that we use for our families on the lower Zambezi that has a specific children’s programme. This is important, because most camps may pay lip-service to children, but they don’t encourage children and the game drives are all directed at adults – which means a child’s interest, something we are trying to nurture, may be quickly lost! Not only is the camp in the most idyllic location, but there are fantastic game drives and walks, as well as fishing. The guides are fun and informative and everybody has a sensational time! Then we have a family-owned camp in the south Luangwa, also famous for its fabulous wildlife – and there is even the opportunity to go on a microlight here!
Learn how to make wonderful cookies and bread out in the bush over an open fire, learn about how to identify animals and plants, and learn about the medicinal properties of trees and plants too, as well as about the folklore attached to them. Visit an African village, where you can even stay over at one of the houses and learn all about African village life. Learn how to drum African style! For families who would like greater luxury, you can take a private house which has a swimming pool, which is superb too – both in the Luangwa and on the lower Zambezi. Perhaps you might even like to have a luxury, tented mobile camp erected just for your family on one of our private safaris, which creates a wonderful bond. For a family with older children, we can arrange a canoeing safari along the Zambezi – camping out for three nights.
Finally, end up at Livingstone, where you can either stay in a lodge or a private house with a swimming pool and staff. Here you can either relax or be as active as you wish to be! Bungee-jump, white water raft, canoe, horse-ride, visit the Victoria Falls, visit a local school and clinic, have picnics on islands, visit the gorge. You can even see a lunar rainbow! This is the perfect place to either begin or end a luxury bespoke safari.
For those that also want a beach holiday in Africa, we most recommend flying to Malawi and staying on the lake, where you can take a catamaran, or stay at a wonderful lodge with all the watersports – one can even stay at a rustic tented camp where one canoes daily. We have lots of possibilities and Malawi is the most beautiful country!

‘Greetings. this has turned out to be a paradise in so many ways....so a big thank you from us.
Wonderful support from your company over here....we were met at the airport (with flowers!!!!!) and introduced to our personal guide who is fabulous. Can't get over the attention to detail ....cool flannels, chilled water, fresh juice on arrival, bag full of thoughtful goodies for our trip, wonderful rooms with bathrooms bigger than our bedroom at home(!) and we were upgraded to a suite and as I write we are listening to tropical birdsong as we look out over the lagoon from our balcony. Wow!!!!!
I could go on but I'll spare you.
Thanks a million
